A Little Bit About Amanda...
I grew up on the South Shore of MA. The neighborhood I grew up in was filled with kids, so much of my time was spent outside with the neighborhood kids. I’d spend much of my summers in York Beach, ME, with family. This is my favorite place to this day. As a kid, I dreamt of getting married in York and taking my own children there for summers. In 2022, I got engaged in York and later that year welcomed my first baby, a girl! She is my best friend and became the best big sister ever, recently, when we welcomed our baby boy! My dreams have become a reality and we frequent York Beach with the kids! They love the ocean just as much as their Mama! Becoming a mom has been my greatest accomplishment yet!
WHY DID YOU BECOME A THERAPIST?
I attended a small college, where after a Sociology course, I realized my interest lay with human behavior. At the time, I
didn’t know what I wanted to do, but I knew I wanted to help
people. I spent many years after college working with
survivors of domestic violence and in forensics. These
experiences made me realize I wanted to pursue my Masters Degree in Social Work. My goal in doing this type of work has always been quite simple, to help people.
