A Little Bit About Angela...
I grew up on the South Shore, but spent some time living in Hawai’i in between undergraduate and graduate school where I learned that I love to snorkel and that I’m not a fan of hot weather. Even though I absolutely grew up a dog person, I now find myself the loving mama to two adorable, mischievous cat babies. As a child, I loved making home-movies, playing pretend, vacationing with family in Maine and New Hampshire, and singing (like nobody else around me was listening). I love witnessing the changing seasons that New England has to offer but appreciate fall the most for the colorful changing leaves, apple-themed pastries, and spooky-season. In my free time I enjoy binge-watching television and movies, listening to podcasts, spending time with friends and family, and eating good food.
WHY DID YOU BECOME A THERAPIST?
When I was in High School, I only really ever had two career options that interested me: become a therapist or open my own bakery. When I learned that to operate a bakery I would have to wake up at 2 or 3 in the morning to prepare the pastries, that option flew off of the table real quick. In all honesty, I’ve wanted to become a therapist since I was in my early teenage years. I’ve worked in various therapeutic settings with people of all ages, from preschool to older adults, and am consistently humbled by the strength, resilience, and bravery that I see in every single person who has allowed me to peak into their world. Supporting people in identifying and utilizing their strengths, and providing people with a safe, accepting space to feel heard, validated, and supported, is my passion and something that I feel very grateful that I have been able to do for my career.
