A Little Bit About Emily...
I grew up on the South Shore and have lived here my whole life. I am an avid animal lover, as I have two dogs and two bunnies! I love to spend time with my family and friends, and go shopping in my spare time. I believe there is something valuable to learn from every person you meet so I am always trying to strengthen my understanding of the cultures and experiences of others. I (think) I have a great sense of humor and love to go through life laughing.
WHY DID YOU BECOME A THERAPIST?
I have had a passion for helping others since I was old enough to walk. When considering a career, I originally pursued Nursing. I worked as a certified nursing assistant both in and out of nursing facilities and decided the interpersonal part of the care was where my heart was. I then transitioned to Social Work and found my calling. I am passionate about being a support to others in helping them to grow and reach their goals. Creating a space where people can explore their inner selves is invaluable to me. All people are deserving of support, validation, and a non-judgmental ear.
