A Little Bit About Gena...
I grew up just outside of Boston and I’m a city girl at heart. Growing up my fondest memories are being surrounded by my extended family who all lived within two miles of our house. I am an only child, and a princess. I was never really alone though, because my cousin and best friend grew up right next door. We enjoyed riding bikes and playing outside all day. I was fortunate to meet my husband in one of the neighboring towns. Soon after getting married we settled into a home on the South Shore, which if you are from North of Boston you know that is a no no! We have never been happier. We enjoy summers at the beach and all of the wonderful outdoor activities that our community has to offer. In the winter we enjoy skiing and traveling. We are blessed with 2 children, a 7.5 year old son and a 5.5 year old daughter, and our very energetic 4 legged child, our Sheltie (sheepdog) Pebbles.
WHY DID YOU BECOME A THERAPIST?
I wanted to help others, and I knew that from the age of 5. Back then I thought I would become a Pediatrician, however, in college I truly realized my passion for the field of psychology and have never looked back. I am blessed to have found my calling and love what I do. When I first became licensed, I worked with preschool age children, as I have grown my calling has also changed. I am drawn to helping couples, adults, teens and families live their best lives.
