A Little Bit About Lesley...

I grew up in a small town on the south shore of  Ma. I spent my summer playing outside  with neighborhood kids.  The majority of my childhood was spent in the dance studio. Dance is my passion. Music and movement are my comfort activities. I considered everyone in my dance life, family, so much so that I enrolled my daughter  in the same dance center 3 years ago. Watching my child love movement is such a wonderful experience.

WHY DID YOU BECOME A THERAPIST?

I always loved helping people. As a child I found myself in the peer mediator role. At age 12  my life changed dramatically. I suffered a brain injury leading to 8 brain surgeries. As a result my body experienced a paralyzing stroke. The providers and therapists I encountered during my recovery fueled my passion for helping others. When I returned to school in 7th grade I wrote in my yearbook I wanted to be a psychiatrist or a therapist. When I entered college I chose a major in Psychology to begin working towards the goal. I continued my education at Bridgewater State University’s Mental Health Counseling program.
